“The views over the lake are indeed the high point, a truly stunning backdrop to a historic building nestled in a nature reserve. While the location excels, some aspects, like smaller rooms and service inconsistencies, may not fully match the setting's grandeur. For those prioritizing location above all else, it presents a worthwhile escape into the Welsh countryside.”

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While the stunning views and spacious, clean room were highlights, I found the decor a bit outdated. The dining experience was commendable with delicious food, but the desserts didn't quite meet my expectations. Also, it was disappointing that some of the lighting in our room was not functioning during our stay.

I returned to this hotel after several years and while the view from the lake view room was fantastic, the overall experience was marred by a fire alarm incident that disrupted my sleep. The staff were friendly and the dining options, especially breakfast, were very good, but the hotel does need some updating to maintain its charm. The service was attentive, but the dining atmosphere in the Brasserie could have been better organized, which affected our experience.

The staff could bring a bit more cheer to their service, but overall, the experience was pleasant. However, the dining options left a lot to be desired, particularly during breakfast. The spa access policy is quite frustrating, which could leave guests disappointed if they plan to unwind during their stay.

We enjoyed a lovely stay with beautiful views, but the dining experience left much to be desired due to service issues and a food hygiene concern. While the rooms were spacious and clean, the lack of a bath was a letdown. Overall, we appreciated the stunning surroundings and friendly staff, but the dining inconsistencies make me hesitant to recommend it wholeheartedly.
